What sports and facilities are available at The Sports Warehouse?
Currently, we are a cricket-first facility featuring four high-specification lanes. We also have two professional-level bowling machines. Looking ahead, we are expanding to include a padel court and two golf simulators - stay tuned for launch dates.
Is The Sports Warehouse suitable for beginners and experienced players?
Absolutely. Whether you are a first-class pro looking for high-intensity reps or a beginner picking up a bat for the first time, our facility is designed for you. Our nets are a safe but professional space and our bowling machines can be adjusted for any pace or skill level.
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just turn up?
To guarantee your lane and any equipment (like bowling machines), we strongly recommend booking in advance via our website. We may have 'walk-in' space, but please call ahead to confirm.
What equipment is provided, and what should I bring with me?
We provide the lanes, stumps, and bowling machines (subject to booking). Players should bring their own cricket kit (pads, gloves, bat, helmet). Important: Please ensure you wear clean, indoor trainers only - strictly no spikes or muddy outdoor shoes allowed on the playing surfaces.
Can I use the bowling machines if I’m under 18?
For safety reasons, bowling machines must be operated by a responsible adult (18+). If you are a junior player training solo, we recommend booking a session with Leo, who can run the machine for you.
How many people can use a single lane at one time?
To ensure everyone has enough room to move safely and gets plenty of batting time, we limit bookings to a maximum of 6 people per lane. This keeps the environment high-quality and, most importantly, keeps everyone safe. If you have a larger group or a full squad, we recommend booking multiple lanes or hiring the whole hall to give your team the space they need.
Are there group bookings, coaching sessions, or other packages available?
Yes. We offer 'Whole Hall' hire for clubs and large groups, as well as 1-to-1 or small group coaching with our resident coaches, David and Leo. We can also tailor packages for corporate team building or birthday parties. Please get in touch for up-to-date information and availability.
How do I book a block booking for my club?
We love supporting local clubs. For recurring weekly bookings (e.g., a 10-week winter program), please contact us directly on bookings@sportswarehouseflint.com so we can secure your preferred slots and discuss club rates.
Is there parking and on-site refreshments available?
Yes, we have free on-site parking for all visitors. We also have a dedicated seating area with vending machines (coming soon) to keep you fueled during your session.
Is there a place for parents or teammates to watch?
We have a viewing area where parents and teammates can sit comfortably, grab a coffee, and watch the action without being in the 'line of fire'.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand plans change. You can cancel or reschedule your booking via the website up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable.
